What will you be doing?
As a Test Engineer, you will build advanced test setups and perform complex measurements on for various applications, such as battery packs and household appliances. You will work closely together with your colleagues to ensure the test setup and measurement is performed correctly and in line with ISO 17025 requirements. It is a varied role in which you will work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.
Who are your colleagues?
Mlab is a young company that primarily focuses on testing and evaluating lithium-ion batteries, electronic products, and household appliances. These range from small to large-scale applications, from electric bicycles to mobile energy storage systems housed in shipping containers. You’ll be working with seven colleagues who specialize in functional safety, battery testing, EMC testing, and CE marking. We play an advisory role during product design and guide clients through the certification process at testing laboratories.
What kind of tests do you perform?
- A wide range of tests like heating tests, high voltage tests, material tests, vibration tests, mechanical shock tests, and environmental tests;
- Conduct product and document reviews via Teams meetings or on-site at the client’s location;
- All tests are performed according to international standards like IEC 60335, IEC 60730-2-9 for a range of appliances but also environmental tests according to DNV, Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas etc;
- Prepare reports detailing the results.
What we expect from you
- Minimum MBO+/HBO level of thinking and working;
- You can read electronic schematics;
- You are independent, precise, and have good communication skills;
- You have a good command of Dutch and English.
